FAQ

Question #1:  Each Ten Minute Math Mini Course is focused on one of the four components of number sense and includes five short videos designed to explain and demonstrate how parents can support their children in developing number sense in only ten minutes a day during daily routines. Each course will be recorded so it can be completed on your own schedule and will also include ideas of resources to make or purchase along with activity cards for each of the four components.

Question #2:  The Ten Minute Math Mini Courses are designed for parents, grandparents, daycare providers, or preschool teachers of 3-5 year old children.  This would make a great Christmas gift from grandparents!  On the purchase form, you will be able to add an email address to the person you are giving this course to.

Question #3:  Teachers can benefit from this course by building their own knowledge of the four components of number sense and learn how to partner with parents in developing a child's interest in math.

Question #4:  These first four Ten Minute Math Mini Courses are focused on children 3-5 years of age.  We are already receiving questions about how to support older children and plan to develop additional courses for school-aged children to support parents as their children grow.
